#88 The Dominator
When we designed the website we threw in the WOTW page by default and were not sure if the coaches would be continuing the tradition. So we were on our toes to pick the winner ourselves. Coincidentally this week's winner was the top of my three picks for one reason, er two reasons - hustle and determination.

Dom was flying in both games on the weekend looking to finish every check no matter what their size, looking to hit his line mates on the tape and going to the net looking for anything that was available. He paid the price on the first and last and never retaliated (okay he got one in London but he was going to a team mates aid!). It takes a lot of heart to be one of the smaller players and go to the net knowing he is going to get thumped from every direction, but #88 will go 1 on 1 against anyone anywhere on the ice.

Another one of Dom's attributes is that he has the same top speed regardless of which direction he is skating. He hustles on the backcheck as hard as he does on the break out. Throw in the heads up cycling down low, the huge smile that rarely leaves his face and his quick shot and you have all the ingredients for a WOTW. If any of the new forwards want a role model for how to play at this level, watch Dom!

Maybe its just my old eyesight, but the logo on the plaque looks like a cross between Bozo the Clown, Gremlins and a monkey... and no I did not alter this photo! We can change them when we make "AA" and have to change that title too!
